About The Little River Lure Lady 

My name is Zena Quattlebaum and I’m the Little River Lure Lady on Lake Murray SC. My grandaddy L.C. Quattlebaum was the owner of Little River Lures on Lake Murray for 20 years. He also hosted crappie tournaments for local fisherman and children during those 20 years. Growing up my grandaddy showed me some tricks of the trade that he used for his business and I have incorporated some of his technique’s into my own lure making. One of the attributes that set his jigs apart was that he added a split ring to all of his jig heads. This is something you don’t see on most crappie jigs. It was a tedious process that he wasn't willing to do himself so he hired my mother and local women in the area to help him put the split rings on each jig. The reason why the ring is so important is because it helps the jig move more naturally in the water. This way you get more action out of your jig. A lot of crappies have been caught on jigs like these and it was his way. If you don’t see what you’re looking for on my website I’m sure I can accommodate. As for the other secret methods I use I won’t tell but you will reap all the benefits when fishing with Little River Lure Lady hand tied jigs & custom painted lures. 😉
